FineSet Join waitlist

Terms of Service

Last updated: 12 June 2026

These terms govern your use of the FineSet website at fineset.io and our early-access waitlist. By joining the waitlist or using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. Who we are

FineSet (“FineSet”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a platform that assembles continuously updated, deduplicated, export-ready training datasets from public sources.

2. Early-access status

FineSet is in early access. The website currently offers a waitlist for upcoming access. Features are under active development, may change or be withdrawn, and are provided without any guarantee of availability, performance, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing on the site is a binding offer to provide a paid product.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use FineSet and provide a valid email address that is yours or that you are authorised to use. By joining, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

4. The waitlist and referrals

  • Joining the waitlist is free and creates no obligation on either side. We do not guarantee that you will receive access, or that you will receive it by any particular date.
  • Your queue position is determined by your signup order and any referrals, as described on the site. Positions and the referral mechanic are indicative and may be adjusted.
  • You may share your referral link, but you must not manipulate the queue — for example by creating fake signups, using disposable or others’ email addresses, or automating signups. We may remove entries or reset positions that we reasonably believe are fraudulent or abusive.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these terms;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, data, or other users’ data;
  • interfere with or disrupt the service, including by overloading, probing, or scraping it;
  • circumvent rate limits or other technical protections;
  • submit content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

6. Datasets and third-party sources

When dataset features become available, FineSet assembles data from public and third-party sources (such as arXiv and Semantic Scholar). Those sources have their own terms and licences. FineSet does not grant you rights in the underlying third-party content and makes no warranty about its accuracy, completeness, or legality for your use. You are responsible for ensuring your use of any dataset complies with the relevant source licences and applicable law, including for AI training.

7. Intellectual property

The FineSet name, logo, website, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms don’t grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written permission.

8. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. We process personal data in accordance with the EU GDPR.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any dataset will meet your requirements. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, FineSet will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the service. Because the waitlist is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us (if any) and EUR 50. This clause does not limit liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).

11. Termination

You may leave the waitlist at any time by asking us to remove your data. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the service. We may also discontinue the waitlist or the service at any time.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. We will update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will give reasonable notice (for example, by email to waitlist members) where appropriate. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of Portugal have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law entitles you to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
